Winter Park, Florida, March 31, 2026 – Custom Comfort Medtek is proud to announce the appointment of Patrick Gaughn as its new President effective immediately. Patrick’s previous work experience includes five years in Marketing, Integrated Media and Corporation Partnerships for the Miami Dolphins, Miami, Florida (2010-2015) and ten years with Burger King Corporation, Division of Restaurant Brands International or RBI, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, covering Business Development, Real Estate, Marketing, and most recently as the Area Franchise Lead for all 500 Burger King locations in the Rocky Mountain Region (2015-2025).
One of Patrick’s first acts as President was to create a 50/50 partnership with Doug Patton, former President of Nine Oaks Holdings (2015-2026) our exclusive west coast distributor, and former Vice President of Custom Comfort Medtek (2002-2015). Together they formed Custom Comfort Medtek 3.0 and acquired Custom Comfort Medtek.
Patrick will handle the role of President and Doug will be the COO, responsible for its new west coast operations. Chad Dunbar, who will continue in his role as Vice President will handle company sales, marketing, and east coast operations out of Central Florida. The west coast facility is in Central Oregon.
After 23 years steering the company growth and expansion, and the past year grooming his son, Patrick, Peter Gaughn is retiring. “2025 was a record year in sales for Custom Comfort Medtek so timing could not be better. Patrick is ready to lead CCM; he has been trained by some of the best organizations in North America, and it is good to see Custom Comfort Medtek remain in the family. According to both Patrick and Doug, the new west coast distribution center will help CCM scale its operation and significantly improve its
turnaround time and meet its growing demand. Business post Covid-19 pandemic has presented challenges with supply chain and staffing issues, and the recent investment in operations should be quickly noticed by all market channels especially hospitals and laboratories.”
