About 90% of the company’s products are built in-house with most pieces of each product made by hand, including medical seating, cabinetry, medical carts and more. The hands-on process leads to a quality product that has passed multiple inspections before leaving the facility.
To ensure top-quality products, Custom Comfort Medtek inspects raw materials as they arrive at the plant. The primary materials are wood and steel – both get inspected to ensure the order was correctly shipped. A team examines the wood products to confirm it’s the right species and in good condition. Employees check the steel products for pollutants and the correct dimensions.
As the raw materials are pulled from the shelves to hit the line, they are examined again before moving forward in the manufacturing process.
“We have a system of checks and balances among our employees to guarantee the highest quality is leaving our facility,” Newton said.
